Martin Newton, the artist known as mNewT, lives in Las Cruces, New Mexico, with his husband. Beyond his work as an artist, he enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, and sports. mNewT grew up in eastern North Carolina, where he spent his childhood gazing at the clouds and identifying shapes and structures in the sky. Today, he uses abstract art to express what he observes in the world, creating Interactive Abstract Art that invites viewers to explore the far corners of their imagination.

Viewed from different angles, distances, and lighting conditions, mNewT’s work reveals subtle shifts in perspective. He incorporates nuanced details throughout each piece to capture attention from across the room and reward closer observation. Recurring features in his abstract art include the carefully placed “eye” motif and intentionally subtle LGBTQ iconography.
