Marilyn grew up in Sweet Home, Oregon, a small town at the foothills of the Cascade Mountains. She attended Willamette University, and after graduation, she went to work in the high-tech world. In April of 2010, she left her long and challenging career in the computer industry to retire with her husband Mike and enjoy their new home in Las Cruces.
Marilyn's current focus is on art jewelry. Having a unified piece is very important to her, and she continually challenges herself through the use of a variety of colorful and exciting materials that she has amassed over time. In her work, she will use other mediums to include silversmithing, bead embroidery, off-loom weaving, knitting, and macrame.
